Before hitting the books for spring quarter, I decided to take a little road trip with a few friends to Seattle. After a quiet evening eating store bought fried chicken and watching Rush Hour 3 in our motel room in Eugene, we headed to Portland. We essentially yelp-ed our way through the city, stopping at their famous Japanese Gardens, which was pretty amazing and a little random. Apparently a Japanese ambassador said that it was the most beautiful Japanese garden he had seen outside of Japan.

This is the first of my roadtrip series. We drove from San Diego to Seattle on a 10 day adventure (I joke with myself that its a Foodcult Business trip). Here is a spring view of Mount Shasta on our way to Oregon.
